  • Share an image from Photos or add it from inside KeepSpot.

  • Add notes or tags when the meaning is not obvious from the image.
  • Delete temporary screenshots from Photos after confirming the important copy is saved.

With Smart Photo Search enabled, KeepSpot uses Apple Vision on your device to index text in saved images. Search for a restaurant name, order number, product label, address, or phrase you remember seeing.

Recognition depends on the image

Clear, high-contrast text works best. Small, stylized, blurry, or partially hidden words may not be recognized accurately.

Does KeepSpot scan my entire Photos library?
No. Smart Photo Search applies to photos and screenshots that you choose to save in KeepSpot.
Where does the text recognition happen?
OCR runs on your device using Apple Vision. KeepSpot stores the indexed image text with your save and does not send your content to KeepSpot servers.
Can OCR read every word perfectly?
No. Results depend on image clarity, text size, contrast, language, and layout. Treat recognition as a useful search aid rather than a perfect transcription.
Do I need Premium for Smart Photo Search?
No. Smart Photo Search is available on the free plan. The free limit is up to 50 saves and 20 custom collections.
