Effective Date: April 18, 2026 · Swellr Technologies LLC
Swellr Technologies LLC cares deeply about your privacy. KeepSpot is designed as a privacy-first, local-first app: we do not operate servers that store your content, we do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information.
Swellr Technologies LLC, a limited liability company (USA).
For GDPR purposes, Swellr Technologies LLC is the "data controller" for the limited personal information described in this Policy (for example, emails you send us). You control the content you create in the App.
Everything you capture, import, or organize in KeepSpot — notes, photos, voice memos, files, URLs, tags, collections, article text, and OCR-indexed image text — is stored on your device in the App's private sandbox. Swellr does not receive, access, copy, or see Your Saves at any time.
If you enable iCloud Sync, Your Saves are synced to your own iCloud account's private CloudKit database.
KeepSpot stores appearance, sync, and feature preferences on your device using iOS UserDefaults. These are not transmitted to Swellr.
We don't collect personal information about you, except in the limited cases where you directly contact us or where Apple shares anonymized diagnostics because you opted in at the OS level.
Specifically, KeepSpot does not collect: your name, phone number, email, address, advertising identifiers, device IDs, precise location, contacts, calendar or health data, browsing history, or biometric templates.
Your Saves and preferences are stored inside the App's sandbox, protected by iOS file-protection and app-sandboxing.
If you turn on iCloud Sync, KeepSpot uses Apple CloudKit's private database inside your iCloud container. The data sits in your own iCloud account — Swellr cannot see or download it. Access is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy.
When you save a URL, KeepSpot may contact the destination website to fetch article text, page metadata, and preview images. This reveals the URL to that website and to any CDN or proxy in between — the same as visiting the page in a browser. KeepSpot does not send any personal information about you in these requests beyond what a standard browser would send (User-Agent and the URL itself).
Standard network metadata (your IP address, DNS query, and TLS SNI) is visible to your network provider and the destination server, as with any internet request. KeepSpot does not transmit this information to Swellr.
KeepSpot does not use any third-party advertising, attribution, or analytics network that would receive your data as a result of normal App use.
KeepSpot uses Apple-provided frameworks and services: CloudKit (iCloud Sync), StoreKit (subscriptions), LocalAuthentication (Face ID / Touch ID), Vision (OCR and scene labels), and APNs (notifications). Use of these services is governed by Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
All subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Swellr receives only anonymous subscription-status signals from StoreKit — we never see your name, payment method, or billing address.
If you email us for support or with a privacy request, we receive your name, email address, and message content. We use this only to respond to you and retain it for up to 2 years.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising. As of the Effective Date, the only third party that processes any data on our behalf is Apple (via the services listed in Section 6). We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or marketing vendors. If this changes, we will update this Policy before any new processor is enabled. Limited sharing may also occur when legally required or as part of a business transfer.
KeepSpot relies on Apple platform security: iOS app sandboxing, file protection, optional Face ID/Touch ID app lock, HTTPS for all network requests, and iCloud encryption. No system is perfectly secure — you are responsible for securing your device, Apple ID, and any backups.
KeepSpot is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact info@swellrtechnologies.com if you believe a child has provided us information.
Because KeepSpot stores Your Saves locally, you already have direct control: access, edit, delete, or export your data inside the App at any time. For email correspondence we hold, contact us at info@swellrtechnologies.com.
California (CCPA/CPRA). Swellr has not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the preceding 12 months. California residents have the right to:
To submit a verifiable consumer request, email info@swellrtechnologies.com with the subject "California Privacy Request." We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (extendable once by up to 45 additional days where permitted by law).
EU/UK (GDPR). Where we process personal information subject to GDPR or UK GDPR, we rely on performance of contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations as applicable legal bases. You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email info@swellrtechnologies.com. We will respond within 30 days of receipt; this may be extended by up to 60 additional days for complex requests, with notice. Because Swellr does not receive Your Saves, requests relating to saved content (access, portability, erasure) are generally exercised directly inside the App rather than through Swellr.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will be posted at keepspotapp.com and in the App under Settings → About → Privacy Policy. We'll update the Effective Date when changes are made. For material changes that expand how we use or share personal information, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via the App or website and, where required by law, obtain your consent.
